LB's latest effort, Good Morning America, starts with a bang. The first track (after the intro) is the title track "Good Morning America" and it cements his place in hip-hop/rap, whatever you'd like to call it. He kinda reminds me of a young Kanye West. This is an odd comparison since they sound nothing alike. It's the subject matter and occassionally the beats. He genuinely seems to be interested in being good at what he does.
So much of his style is defined by his production. Production is handled mainly by DC, Adonis, and LB himself. There is also one track produced by Decap, which is the most club-friendly track. Is it bad that hearing a club beat with a full sentence for a chorus feels like an accomplishment? "She said she wants that Redbull and vodka" is a sweet symphony compared to whatever jibberish that comes out of Lil' Jon's mouth.
